Mira Fellowship (2025 Cohort)

More than 7 years ago our son came out as transgender. 3 years ago, I wrote the field guide I wish I could have given myself on that day. Today, I want to (re)design these resources so that more parents have access to the support and resources they need to navigate their own journey with their own amazing kids.

Excited to announce that I am part of the 2025 Cohort of Mira Fellows!

My Project (aka my working draft project statement)

Imagine a world ... where gender non-conforming kids thrive and unleash their super powers through the unwavering, informed support of their parents, caregivers, and the adults around them. This year I will revisit my Field Guide for Parents of Trans Kids and use it as a starting place to (1) co-design with other parents a set of tools or resources to help parents help their kids - no matter where they live, (2) create the vision for a national model of parent support, and (3) find a national partner who could scale so that all kids can become their authentic selves.
