Trans Kids and Teens: Pride, Joy, and Families in Transition by Elijah C. Neally (I especially recommend Ch 5 on Medical Transition as helpful in capturing the nuance and ambiguity of these decisions and Ch 7 on Helping Families as the place I’ve most clearly seen my role as a parent reflected in the literature)

Mental Health / Support
The Trevor Project is a national suicide prevention and crisis intervention organization for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and questioning (LGBTQ) young people
Trans Life Line - is a suicide prevention/crisis hotline run by and for trans people
Mind the Gap is a list of gender affirming therapists in the Bay Area, CA
Pacific Center operates a sliding scale mental health clinic for LGBTQIA+ and QTBIPOC people and their families in Alameda County, CA
Biomedical Changes / Health Resources
(*) WPATH (World Professional Association for Transgender Health), especially their Standards of Care
(*) UCSF's Child and Adolescent Gender Center offers comprehensive medical and psychological care, as well as advocacy and legal support, to transgender, nonbinary and gender-expansive kids
(*) National Transgender Health Summit This is designed for clinicians but we attended as civilians and got so much out of the experience
(*) Gender Confirmation Center Dr Mosser is the surgeon we worked with and his website is full of helpful info on what kinds of surgeries are done, pros and cons of each, etc.
(*) UCSF Fertility Preservation Clinic Dr. Mok-Lin and the entire staff was ready and respectful to help a trans-teen in the sometimes uncomfortable process of fertility preservation
UCSF Center of Excellence for Transgender Health is the organization that - in addition to other research - runs the National Transgender Health Summit (which we found really helpful)
UCSF Gender Affirming Health Program is where healthcare can take place after a kid ages out of UCSF’s Child and Adolescent Gender Center
Philadelphia Trans Wellness Conference I’ve heard great things about this conference those on the east coast
Transgender Transition Tracker we did not use this, but this sort of tracker could be a great resource
Connecting Rainbows connects you with LGBTQ+ legal and fertility experts to start, grow and protect your family

Point of Pride’s annual transgender surgery fund (as of writing this, applications due each November and they seem to be available to minors with parental consent, but check their website)

TransFamilies is a nonprofit organization that has been supporting transgender people and their families since 2008. Formerly called Gender Diversity, they also host the annual conference Gender Odyssey
PFLAG is the first and largest organization for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ+) people, their parents and families, and allies. With over 400 chapters and 200,000 members. There probably is a chapter near you.
